Liverpool v Newcastle Football Betting - Premier League 3rd May
Two tricky games to call today. You've got Liverpool v Newcastle at 1.30pm, I think the only thing that could be predicted is lots of goals with Newcastle's cagey defence and Liverpool's attacking potency with Gerard returning alongside the irresistible Torres. Therefore for this one I’d be tempted to go for an over 2.5 goals bet (4/7 with Skybet) - visit Skybet now for this bet and other betting options

Liverpool odds to win Premier League
You've got to be in it to win it. After thinking it was all settled and decided, thanks to the Reds we do now have a title race again. So what do the bookies think?
Liverpool are now at 3/1 to win the Premier League after squeezing the gap on current Premier League champions Manchester United. Man United are 1/3 on ....all very tight - I'll be tempted to bet on Man Utd at this price.

FA Cup 2009 - who's odds on to win it? Football Betting odds provided by Sky Bet
So who's going to win the Cup? As Pompey proved last season under Harry Redknapp, the FA Cup doesn't always have one of the big Premier League team's names on it. However Arsenal and Chelsea are licking their wounds now that their title hopes have dissapeared after inconsistent league form. At 4/1, Arsenal is not a bad bet. Well it is obvious that the favourites are Manchester United. The Red Devils looked formidable in the first half against Inter last night and its always possible that Fereguson may prioritise the League and the Champions League over the FA Cup but Man U have the strength in their squad potentially to get another treble. Here are the latest odds for the teams still in the FA Cup:
Man Utd - 7/4
Chelsea - 3/1
Arsenal - 4/1
Everton - 5/1
Fulham - 16/1
Middlesboro - 18/1
Not a bad stage to have a flutter before the odds narrow further. To put a bet on, visit Sky Bet by clicking here.

Christmas Premiership matches 2008
Premier League Football Tips Boxing day 2008 Premier League
The Christmas period can make or break a Premier League club's season. I am really pleased to be visiting West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on the 28th December with my beautiful girlfriend who is 4 months pregnant. We found out that he is a boy on Monday, so I would like to dedicate this post to him and his second Spurs match (1st one was at home vs Wigan....not a classic). Here are the Boxing Day fixtures:
Friday, 26 December 2008
Barclays Premier League
Aston Villa v Arsenal, 17:15
Chelsea v West Brom, 13:00
Liverpool v Bolton, 15:00
Man City v Hull, 15:00
Middlesbrough v Everton, 15:00
Portsmouth v West Ham, 13:00
Stoke v Man Utd, 12:45
Sunderland v Blackburn, 15:00
Tottenham v Fulham, 13:00
Wigan v Newcastle, 15:00
I fancy Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and Tottenham to all win.
Happy Christmas to all!

Terrible football betting tips!
Why do people bet on football? My tips for midweek in the Champions Leagure were awful and a reason why 'dead cert' betting in football in particular the Premiership is a very risky game.
Perhaps so far my football betting tips have been totally rubbish, but I still think I can pull off this today:
Sunderland v Portsmouth
West Ham v Everton
Wigan v Stoke
All to be under 2.5 goals. we'll see!

Champions League betting tips
Being a Spurs fan, what do I know about the Champions League?! Well, I do know that the English sides are strong in Europe so my accumulator for this week's Champions League fixtures has 3 English teams to win:Barcelona to beat Basil
Liverpool to beat Athletico Madrid
Manchester United to beat Celtic
Arsenal to beat Fenerbahce
Lets hope these games come in now..!

2 out of 2 - not a great start
It was a 452-1 bet for the Arsenal v Spurs match to finish 4-4, apparently a lucky punter put £10 on it! Stoke beat Sunderland 1-0 with a spirited performance but Chelsea and Vila did win but tips wise I need to go back to the drawing board - ah well we shall see what the weekend may bring...

NEW Football Betting Tips
I would hate anyone to lump on seriously with any Football Tip I give. Why? Because I have the kiss of death when it come to gambling on anything. However I want to try out a theory which is if I give football tips but don't gamble on them, does my record improve? It may become obvious therfore that I am superstitious when it comes to this stuff but anyway here goes.
On Wednesday there is a full premiership programme (shown below) and I would go for Arsenal to beat Spurs at the Emirates, Aston Villa to beat Blackburn at Villa Park, Chelsea to beat Hull and Sunderland to beat Stoke. Lets see now how good my predictions are....
